A chemical peel is a specific technique to rapidly remove the damaged upper layers of surface skin cells revealing fresh, plump skin and stimulating cell rebuilding and restructuring of the deeper skin layers.

Skin Deep Rejuvenation Therapies offer light to medium depth chemical peels from Theraderm (Lifestyle Aesthetics) and Neostrata that can:

• Improve acne and the appearance of actinic scarring.

These peels are only available from trained healthcare professionals, doctors and nurses. Due to their prescription strength ingredients they should not be used by beauty therapists/aestheticians.

To Peel……?

A medium depth peel using the Theraderm LA peel system includes 3 peeling ingredients each performing a unique function within the peeling process. This peel is suitable for all skin types. Treatment areas include the face, neck, hands and décolleté.

In order to achieve optimum results the 4-part Theraderm Skin Renewal System or Acne Control System is used 3 weeks prior to the peel (products included in the price). This peel will result in snake-like peeling from day 3 post peel, by day 10 you can expect to see your desired results. However, depending on the condition and damage of your skin pre-treatment, a repeat peel at 6 weeks may be necessary.

Not To Peel….?

This is a 6 week programme using the Neostrata Skin Rejuvenation System. This gently exfoliates layers of dead skin cell, stimulating skin renewal.

Homecare products containing glycolic acid, a naturally occurring alpha hydroxyacid, are used 2 weeks prior to the start of the course to prepare your skin and maximise the effectiveness of the peel. During the procedure a high concentration of glycolic acid is applied to the skin for 2 to 5 minutes then neutralised. This whole treatment totals approximately 20 minutes. You may experience some slight pinkness and very occasional flaking which can be covered with Glominerals mineral make-up. This course of peels can achieve the same results of a medium depth peel without the ‘down-time’ peeling experienced with the Theraderm LA peel.
