Injectable Dermal Fillers

Injectable dermal fillers such as Restylane® and Hydra Fill® contain hyaluronic acid, a substance which is identical in all tissues of all species. It helps the skin maintain elasticity and tone and also encourages collagen production.

As we age hyaluronic acid becomes less abundant, weakening skin structure and appearance. Biodegradeable hyaluronic fillers are injected millimetres below the surface of the skin to correct wrinkles and folds and can add volume. Fillers used by Skin Deep Rejuvenation Therapies are non permanent, degrading naturally and fully over 12 months.

Treatment takes 15 to 30 minutes. There may be some immediate redness, bruising and slight swelling for a few hours, which can easily be covered with concealer, resolving after a few hours.

Dental blocks are offered prior to lip and lip border treatments. These also numb the lower half of the face so can be used when carrying out lower facial work with dermal fillers if you prefer, as an alternative to topical anaesthetic. To ensure your total comfort, a numbing gel is applied to your gum before the dental block procedure is carried out.
